iHelios Energy Hub: Connecting Solar, Battery, EV and Heating
After months of hard work, we’re proud to introduce iHelios Energy Hub — bringing solar, battery storage, EV charging, smart heating, home automation, energy tariffs and more into one connected approach.
We have always believed that one technology on its own can only do so much. Solar panels generate electricity. Batteries store it. Heating keeps a building comfortable. An EV charger powers your next journey. The real opportunity comes when these technologies work together.
iHelios Energy Hub connects compatible devices and services so that energy decisions can respond to your home, your schedule and your electricity tariff.
What is iHelios Energy Hub?
iHelios Energy Hub is a connected energy and property control platform from iHelios Living Reinvented. It brings supported solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, smart heating and home automation into a coordinated view. For accommodation, supported setups can also connect bookings, guest access and heating profiles.
Its purpose is to help people see where energy is going and coordinate compatible systems around comfort, occupancy and tariff periods. It does not generate electricity itself, and it does not make every device compatible automatically.
How does Energy Hub connect solar, batteries, EV charging and heating?
Energy management should help you understand what is happening and act on it. The home video shows how a connected approach can bring together:
- Solar PV: visibility of generation and how electricity flows around the home.
- Battery storage: charging and discharging strategies that reflect your energy needs and tariff.
- EV charging: charging schedules that fit around available energy and your routine.
- Smart heating: room-by-room settings and schedules, including compatible iHelios infrared heating.
- Home automation: occupancy and away settings that help avoid heating or running selected devices unnecessarily.
- Energy tariffs: using configured tariff periods to help plan flexible consumption.
In the video: follow a home through off-peak charging, daytime solar generation, room-by-room heating and evening battery use. It shows how connected controls can bring these decisions into one view.
How can connected control help reduce energy costs?
A smart device can follow an instruction. A connected system can help you coordinate several instructions around a common goal: comfort when you need it, with less avoidable energy use.
For example, a household with a suitable time-of-use tariff may charge its battery during a lower-cost period and use stored electricity later. With solar, the opportunity is to coordinate generation, storage and consumption. With heating, it is to match room settings to occupancy and daily routines.
These are practical ways to make more informed use of the equipment you have. Explore how solar PV, batteries and infrared heating can form part of a wider energy strategy, alongside smart home devices.
Features depend on supported devices, integrations and system configuration. Savings vary with your tariff, usage, building, weather and equipment. Battery losses, wear and system costs also affect the overall benefit; illustrative figures in the video are not a savings guarantee.
How does Energy Hub support landlords and accommodation?
The same thinking extends beyond individual homes. Landlords, HMOs and serviced accommodation operators need to coordinate comfort, access and changeovers across rooms and properties.
The accommodation video introduces tools for:
- Room-by-room heating: protected schedules and landlord-set maximum temperatures, with automatic boost within the configured limit.
- Bookings and access: manual booking management or supported property management system integrations, with guest access linked to the stay.
- Arrival and departure: preparing the room for guests and reducing the temperature after checkout.
- Guest EV charging: supported paid charging, with tariffs and session tracking.
In the video: see how heating profiles, booking changes, time-limited guest access and EV charging can work together. Automatic boost operates within the landlord’s temperature limit; the configured schedule resumes once the target is reached.
For operators, this means a clearer view of the property and fewer separate tasks to manage. For guests, it supports a more straightforward stay. Learn more about iHelios heating control for landlords.
What should you check before connecting your property?
Start with a short list of your equipment and priorities. This lets us check integration support before recommending a setup.
- Equipment: inverter, battery, EV charger, thermostats, locks and smart devices, including their model names.
- Tariff: your import and export prices, time-of-use periods and any restrictions on charging or export.
- Property routine: the rooms you use, comfort preferences, occupancy patterns and—for accommodation—booking and checkout workflows.
- Your goal: clearer visibility, less wasted heating, coordinated charging or simpler guest changeovers.
Built around the whole property
iHelios Living Reinvented brings together heating, smart home and energy solutions. iHelios Energy Hub builds on that approach by connecting the supported technologies and services around them.
You do not need to start with every technology at once. The right starting point is to understand your property, the equipment you already have and what you want to improve. From there, we can discuss compatibility and the controls that make sense for you.

Frequently asked questions
What is iHelios Energy Hub?
iHelios Energy Hub is a connected energy and property control platform from iHelios Living Reinvented. It brings supported solar PV, batteries, EV charging, heating and smart home devices into a coordinated view, with additional booking and access features for supported accommodation setups.
Will iHelios Energy Hub work with my existing equipment?
Compatibility depends on the device model, communications capability and available integration. Share the make and model of your inverter, battery, EV charger, heating controls and any booking platform with the iHelios team before planning a setup. We will confirm which functions are supported.
Do I need solar panels and a battery to start?
No. A project can start with supported heating or smart home controls. Solar, battery and EV features apply when the corresponding equipment is installed and integrated. The right starting point depends on what you have and what you want to improve.
How can connected control help reduce energy costs?
It can help avoid unnecessary heating, coordinate flexible loads and shift suitable consumption to lower-cost tariff periods. Actual savings depend on your equipment, electricity prices and usage; storage losses and system costs also matter. There is no fixed or guaranteed saving.
Does Energy Hub change my electricity supplier or tariff?
The tariff features described here use configured tariff information to help plan energy use. They do not mean the platform automatically changes your electricity supplier. Available tariff integrations and control options should be confirmed for your setup.
Can it reduce heating after guest checkout?
Yes, in supported accommodation setups, heating profiles can be linked to bookings so the temperature is reduced after checkout. Guest access can also be limited to the stay. Available functions depend on the locks, heating controls and booking integration.
How does automatic heating boost work?
In the accommodation workflow shown, boost operates automatically within the landlord-set maximum temperature. Guests do not need to request a separate boost. Once the target temperature is reached, the configured schedule resumes.
